Dear Mr. Gucci, Where Should We Wear This?

It’s April 23, 4:47 p.m., I turn on my PC and start opening one tab after another to write a new article. The ideas in my mind are pretty clear. I want to write an article about vintage sunglasses or statement bags. But then, something happens… While browsing the Shopstyle Collective website to build the widget for my article,  I stumble upon this…

Who do you think is responsible for this masterpiece?

Maybe you got it right, maybe not, but the price tag says Gucci. Oh, and the price…

Dear Mr. Alessandro Michele, with all due respect, where do you want us to wear this dress? I would tell you my opinion, but I don’t think you’ll like it. 🙂 By the way, I don’t know who exactly designed this dress, but Mr. Michele is the creative director of Gucci since 2015. So, I guess they needed his OK to start manufacturing it.

Wanna talk about the price? Sit down before clicking on the dress, I don’t want you to get hurt. Talking about money… I guess I would wear it if someone would offer me a third of what this dress costs. :)) Uhhh, that’s what I call “an ethical behavior”. 😛 (Does anybody know how to make a devil emoticon in Wordpress?)

What a sick mind! (Promise I’m not usually this mean.) Still, guess what I did next out of curiosity. I filtered the items based on the highest price just to see what other surprises I might have.

And I found this one:

This one’s a tribute brought to pasta. Dolce & Gabbana – an Italian brand, this brings us to all things Italy is famous for, which brings us to pasta. Yes, you got it right. Well, it’s not the one you use to make mac and cheese, these are spaghetti! And God forbid you confuse one for the other while in Italy. 🙂 Let’s not even talk about the red bow.

And then this one…

Tigers fighting on my dress. Not mine, but you get the idea… I think I have to call the party off. I’ve seen too much for today and have to put myself together. Promise to be back soon with one or even both the articles I wanted to write about today. 😉 Until then, hope you enjoyed this one, had a good laugh, or maybe made some serious shopping. Who am I to judge? 😛

*Disclaimer. Please intend this article as it is, a personal opinion spiced up a bit with a sense of humor and without any intention to criticize famous fashion designers, whom I respect a lot and admire.

If you liked the article, please share it with your friends on your favorite social network. Thank you! 🙂

xx, Ghintare
